Welcome to our Music Electives! In these classes students can explore different strands of music without the semester performance that are required in Band and Chorus. Even though we do not do a formal performance at the end of the semester, students will be expected to create music in a variety of styles in each of these classes. Each class will delve into musical techniques of different instruments, different musical genres, and different styles, however each student will grow in their personal musicianship in each class. The goal of each class is to have each student understand who they are as musicians, and how they can create music in their own lives. These classes are based around student participation. With effort and a positive attitude, every student can grow as a musician and develop a love for something they didn't know they could even do!
